A shooting at Little World convenience store left two men injured early Monday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 4600 block of Malcom X Blvd after a DISD officer heard gunshots and noticed a male victim suffering.
The DISD officer applied a tourniquet to the victims leg until emergency crew arrived and transported the victim to Baylor hospital.
Another victim was also brought to Baylor with a gunshot wound to the leg in a private vehicle and says he was also shot at the convenience store.
Both victims are expected to survive.
According to police a group of people were hanging outside the store when a disturbance occurred and someone opened fire striking the two victims.
It is unclear at the time if it was multiple shooters and if the victims were the intended targets.
This shooting investigation is ongoing.
