According to authorities, two brothers that went missing Tuesday were found in their submerged car.

Officers responded to a call Wednesday morning around 7:50a.m. to a creek just outside of Denton near Hickory Creek Road and FM 1830 where they found a Volkswagen turned over in the creek.

Inside the car were the two brothers who were identified by officials as 17-year-old, Diego Rivera and his brother, Daniel Rivera, 14.

The brothers were reported missing Tuesday night after they did not return home from getting an item the older brother, Diego, left at the soccer field.

The mother contacted the police after her sons stop taking phone calls and didn’t show up Tuesday night.

A passerby called 911 Wednesday morning to report a vehicle turned over in the creek, according to authorities.

Authorities also state that it is unclear what led to the crash.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help with memorial expenses for the brothers.
