Leniz “Diablita” Escobar, 22, lured four young males to be stabbed by MS-13 street gang members. This was in Long Island, New York. She has now been found guilty of the quadruple murder.

On Monday, Leniz was convicted of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, obstruction of justice, and murder in aid-of racketeering.

“Those five young men, in the prime of their lives, had no idea that Escobar was leading them to their death.” That would be in a field where MS-13 gang members waited with axes, machetes, knives, tree limbs, and a chisel. One man was able to get away and survived to tell his story in court. The other four were fatally beaten.

The victims were identified as Justin Llivicura, 16, Michael Banegas, 20, and Jorge Tigre and Jefferson Villalobos, both 18.

It is said that their deaths, in 2017, came after Escobar and Keyli Gomez, a co-conspirator, felt disrespected by uploaded pictures untruthfully indicating they were MS-13 members.

Escobar is accused of boasting about her part in the killing to other MS-13 members. Additionally, calls betwen Escobar and her boyfriend, also a gang member, were recored by the FBI’s Long Island Gang Task Force. The recording revealed the two talking about the crime.

When followed by authorities, Escobar got rid of her blood-stained sweater and cell phone. She lied to police, saying that she and Gomez had been robbed in the park on the evening of the killings.

Over 13 MS-gang members are facing charges in connection to the crime. Escobar could get a life sentence. Gomez is waiting to be sentenced after pleading guilty to racketeering.
