A Michigan woman who is wanted by police for the shooting deaths of her brother and boyfriend, was found dead from an apparent suicide.

22-year-old Ruby Taverner’s body was discovered Monday near the apartment where deputies found her brother and her boyfriend dead early Sunday.

Deputies responded to reports from a neighbor who was awakened by gunshots coming from Taverner’s apartment around 3:20 a.m.

Inside the apartment, authorities discovered the body of Taverner’s brother, Bishop Taverner, 25, in the living room. Her live-in boyfriend, Ray Muscat, 26, was found dead in the bedroom.

Both victims died from gunshot wounds.

By the time authorities arrived, Taverner had already fled the scene, leaving behind her phone and car.

More than two dozen law enforcement officials, K-9 units, and drones searched for Taverner on Sunday.

Her body was discovered in a wooded area near her apartment the following day. Authorities say she died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Detectives are working to determine a motive for the slayings.

Records show that Taverner had three registered firearms, including two 9mm handguns and a .38 caliber pistol. One of the weapons was purchased last week.

The information collected suggests that the killings were premeditated.
