10 People Injured During Shooting In South Dallas

Dallas police are investigating after multiple people were shot during a party in South Dallas over the weekend.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 5200 block of Botham Jean Road around 11:50pm.

Upon arrival they found multiple shooting victims including an 18 year old male in critical condition.

Some of the victims were transported to area hospitals.

While working the scene officers heard multiple gunshots blocks away. As officers responded to the scene they saw a vehicle fleeing in a high rate of speed.

Officers pulled the vehicle over and learned a victim inside had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Throughout the course of the night officers learned several other victims had arrived to different hospital in private vehicles.

Officers say a group of teens were having a party at an event hall when multiple shots rang out.

A total of 10 people were injured between the ages of 15-21. It was said none of the victims were the intended targets.

They are not working to determine what led up to the initial shooting. At this time they have no suspect(s).

This shooting investigation is ongoing.
