18 Year Old Suspect Involved In Timberview High School Shooting Indicted On Multiple Criminal Charges

A teenager that opened fire inside Mansfield Timberview High School is facing multiple criminal charges following the shooting.

The incident occurred on October 6, 2021 when Timothy Simpkins,18 and Zaccheus Selby,15 got into a fight inside the classroom.

Simpkins pulled out a handgun, opened fire and struck two teachers and two students.

When officers arrived to the school Simpkins had already fled the scene. Authorities later arrested Simpkins on three counts of aggravated assault.

He bonded out the next day on a $75,000 bond but was arrested in December after failing a drug/ alcohol test.

Initially Simpkins family told police that he was being bullied and had the gun for protection. After thorough investigation officers found no evidence of the bullying.

Simpkins is facing three charges of attempted murder, three charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon in a prohibited place.
