Alexandra Fasulo, 29, says that she made her first six-figure earnings in 2018. She did this by becoming a freelance writer on Fiverr. This is where she makes money by writing blogs, press releases, and website material for clients.

Now, Fasulo has income coming in from several sources. This includes freelance writing, influencer sponsorships, eBook  sales, course sales, and ad and affiliate revenue. Last year, she made more than $400,000.

Fasulo says that she is aware that making all this money won’t last long. Thus, she saves and invests her money to increase her net worth. She also owns three properties that are worth $1.2 million altogether.

In order to ensure that she uses her money wisely, Fasulo says that there are five things that she is adamant about not spending her money on.

The first is designer clothes and purses. Her rule is to never spend more than $2,500 a year on shopping.

Next is unsubsidized flights. She uses her My Chase Sapphire Rewards credit card that accumulates points when she uses it on food or travel. Then, her card usually covers air travel and rental cars.

Third is rent. Fasulo bought three properties. One she lives in, and the others she rents out to tenants.

Then, she says that she won’t spend money for drinks after 8 p.m. She notes that dining and drinking earlier can decrease the total amount of a food bill by one-third.

Last is Uber trips that aren’t more than three miles. Fasulo says if she has to go somewhere within three miles, she’d rather walk for the exercise rather than spend $30 on a trip back and forth.
