A 7 year old girl passed away after being struck by a suv Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a pedestrian being struck on the 800 block of Sky Blue Dr and when they arrived they found the little girl.
She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was driving southbound when Tamara Mendoza was trying to cross the street and struck.
The driver stopped to contact police and render aid.
Officers say the driver did not appear to be impaired nor speeding and was very cooperative.
No charges have been filed at this time.
This investigation remains ongoing.
