Dallas Apartment Complex Receives 34 Citations For Failing To Provide Properly Functioning Air Conditioning

1.3kviews

On Tuesday, personnel from the city of Dallas responded to an apartment complex where dozens of people stated that they haven’t had air conditioning for several weeks.

Residents at Rosemont at Meadow Lane stated that the temperatures in their apartments have gotten to nearly triple digits.

Thus, code compliance officers and Dallas police went to the 200-unit complex to investigate. This led to the complex receiving 34 citations for failure to provide properly functioning ACs.

As they await a resolution to the issue, residents are having to worry about whether or not to go to a cooling center, four miles from them, or to just deal with the heat.

The cooling center is available until 1 p.m. on Tuesday night at the Larry Johnson Recreation Center at 3700 Dixon Avenue in Dallas.

  1. I would buy me an air conditioner and put it in my window regardless of what they say I sure wouldn’t be in there for weeks with no air

  2. Why cant they just give a/c units till its fix? Its to hot for traveling and a hour then back to the heat.
