Dallas ISD’s Superintendent, Michael Hinojosa, will step down from his position by the end of this year.

Hinojosa announced his resignation on a conference call with other Texas superintendents earlier this week. He will offer his resignation to trustees during the district’s monthly board meeting on Thursday. A press conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. the same day.

Hinojosa has dedicated 13 years to overseeing Dallas ISD. His time with the district is second longest tenure of any Dallas superintendent after W.T. White.
