The first female artist signed to Def Jam West and Detroit rapper Bo$$, known for her 1993 single, “I don’t give a F###, has died. This is according to a post from Bun B.

On Monday, the UGK rapper posted a picture of Bo$$ to his Instagram account. He wrote in the caption, “Rest in peace to my big sis Lichelle Laws AKA Bo$$. One of the best female MCs and a dear friend. Give Rick Royal a hug for me. Long Live The Org!”

Others including, 9th Wonder, Jermaine Dupri, The D.O.C., Goodie Mob’s Big Gipp, Mia X, Chuck D, and Slim Thug expressed their sentiments, as well.

In 2021, Bo$$’s family had created a GoFundMe to pay for her medical expenses. The fundraiser discussed how she had suffered from renal disease since 2011 which resulted in her needing a kidney transplant. Because of this, she had a major stroke and seizure in 2017. The fundraiser generated over $17,000 since it was created.

No further details surrounding her death have been released.
