Flying Car Approved To Hit The Skies

A certificate of airworthiness was issued for flying a car model, AirCar, to Slovakia’s Transportation Authority on Tuesday.

It is the initial step towards more production of the new invention.

In June 2021, AirCar finished its first flight in a city. It receives it power from a 1.6-liter BMW engine. Also, it only requires a 300 meter runway to ascend in the air.

Additionally, AirCar is able to go 105 mph and can travel 621 miles, taking less than three minutes to go from a car to a plane. This is mostly because everything is automated and only needs one button pushed to transform.

Before being certified, the Slovak flying car had to undergo 70 hours of test flights and over 200 takeoffs and landings.

After obtaining an aircraft-type certification, AirCar can be made commercially.
