Iconic Country Singer Toby Keith Dies At 62

Iconic country music singer Toby Keith, 62, has died after a battle with stomach cancer.

Keith died on Monday evening, surrounded by relatives, a statement noted.

In June 2022, Keith announced that he had cancer and had been undergoing chemo and radiation treatment and had an operation, as well.

Throughout his 30-year career, Keith released 24 studio and compilation albums and 2 Christmas albums, making $40 million in worldwide sales.

In addition to that, Keith also produced 61 tracks that were on the Billboard Hot Country Songs as 20 of them hit the number one spot. 22 others were in the top 10.

His most notable tunes include, “Who’s Your Daddy?,” “Made In America,” “Should Have Been A Cowboy,” “Beer For My Horses,” and others.

In 2021, then-President Donald Trump awarded Keith with the National Medal of Arts award. Then, in 2023, Keith accepted the County Music Icon Award at the People’s Choice Country Awards.

Keith leaves behind his wife and three children.
