In Queens, New York, a mother of two was discovered deceased inside of a bloody duffel bag that had been left on the side of the road on Saturday morning.

Orsolya Gaal, 51, had gone out before coming home at 11 p.m. on Friday. Close to 4:30 a.m., on Saturday, someone was pulling the duffel bag down the street.

A person walking their dog discovered Gaal’s body in the bag around 8:10 a.m.

Authorities then followed a path of blood that ended about a half- mile away at her residence. There, they located Gaal’s 13-year-old son by himself.

Around thirty armed officers surrounded the residence, and the teen was led away in handcuffs.

Police don’t think that the boy was responsible for the killing, a source said. He has since been released from custody. Her husband, Howard Klein, was out of town with the couple’s 17-year-old son, noted his Twitter account.

Authorities say that the duffel bag that was located came from inside the home. They continue to look at camera surveillance footage and credit card transactions to determine where the woman had been or if she had met someone. They are also examining her phone records.

Gaal’s death has been determined to be a homicide. An autopsy has shown that she was stabbed close to 60 times in her neck, torso, and left arm. She also suffered puncture wounds to her carotid artery, trachea, fingers, and the palm of her hands.
