Mother Takes Plea Deal In Murder Of “Make-A-Wish” Daughter

A Colorado woman accused of faking her daughter’s illnesses and profiting off of it before the girl’s death in 2017 has reached a plea agreement.

Kelly Turner pleaded guilty to felony theft, felony charity fraud, and child abuse negligently causing death.

Turner was originally charged with murder for the death of her 7 year old, Olivia Grant. Turner had pleaded not guilty but recently took a plea deal. In this deal many of her charges, including murder, were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Olivia died in August 2017 of intestinal failure after Turner signed a do-not-resuscitate order. Turner allegedly received nearly $600,000 in Medicaid benefits and donations from charities like “Make-A-Wish” and GoFundMe donors.
