An unidentified officer in Senatobia, Mississippi, is no longer working for their police department after a 10-year-old boy was detained.

On Aug. 10, officers stated that they found Quantavious Eason, 10, urinating behind a car.

The child’s mother, Latonya Eason, said that she had been at a lawyer’s office, and her son was in her vehicle. He had to use the bathroom, so he went behind his mother’s car to urinate.

That’s when officers witnessed what the boy was doing, put him in the back of a patrol car, and transported him to the station.

Following the incident, the Senatobia Police Chief Richard Chandler noted that the child shouldn’t have been transported to the police station.

After an investigation was conducted, one of the officers is said to no longer be employed with the department. The police chief stated that other officers involved will be disciplined.
