A pastor has been taken into custody after he is said to have sold crystal meth out of his church’s rectory.

On Friday, the pastor of a United Methodist Church in Woodbury, Connecticut, was apprehended after police were tipped off about the drugs.

The pastor is facing charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, and other offenses.

The pastor is set to appear in court on Feb. 23 after he was freed on a $10,000 bond.

Documents show that the pastor was found with crystal methamphetamine in both rock form and that had been liquefied into a hypodermic needle.

Authorities added that a cooperating witness set up the pastor with a fake drug deal at which time he was arrested.
