Officer Dylan Harrison, 26, was shot and killed on his first day on the job.

Harrison was working part-time for the Alamo Police Department in Georgia when he was shot outside of the station about 1am on Saturday. He is the first officer in the department to die in the line of duty.

Harrison also worked for the Oconee Drug Task Force. He had been a law enforcement officer since 2018.

Authorities are searching for the suspected shooter, 43 year-old Damien “Luke” Anthony Ferguson. A $17,500 will be given to anyone with information about his whereabouts.

Harrison is survived by his wife and 6-month old baby.

At least five officers in Georgia have been killed while on the job this year.
