A family is concerned after two men tried to kick in their loved ones apartment door after pretending to be maintenance workers.

The incident happened on August 19, around 4 p.m., at the Interlace apartments on the 3800 block of Gannon Lane in Dallas.

Apparently two men, one masked the other unmasked, went to an apartment pretending to be maintenance workers coming to change/check the air filters.

The apartment they went to had a Blink Cameras and was able to record everything. Once the two men rang the doorbell someone responded on the Blink Camera saying that no one was home at the time.

The two unidentified men can then be seen attempting to kick in the front door of the apartment multiple times.

After a few kicks someone inside the apartment shot multiple rounds through the door. The suspects returned fire and fled the scene before officers could arrive.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities responded to the scene and are further investigating the incident.
