A state trooper shot and killed a gunman and then found two dead bodies on his property.

On Thursday around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at Stokes Circle in South Brazos County. When they arrived they found Randall Lee Isbell with a gun. Isbell was ignoring commands to drop his weapon, leading a trooper to open fire.

The 51-year-old gunman, Isbell, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Brazos County SWAT team also responded to the scene.

Authorities conducted a search of the property in hopes of finding any injured victims. However, what they found was two bodies that were later identified as Daniel Rowe, 51, and his wife Kelley Rowe, 59.

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Rangers are investigating this ongoing case.
