Suspect Shot By Fort Worth Police After Robbing Vape Shop

Fort Worth police shot a 37-year-old man in the leg on Sunday morning. This came after he ran from officers after robbing a vape store.

At about 4 a.m., police received a call about a robbery that had occurred at a 24-hour vape shop in the 6400 block of McCart Ave.

Authorities had been informed that the suspect had a face mask and a crowbar.

Three minutes later, officers arrived on the scene and observed the suspect fleeing through an open field behind a shopping center.

Eventually, police discovered him hiding in an empty lot in a residential location just past the field.

When officers approached him, police stated that an officer shot him in the leg. No other details about what happened before the shooting was released.

Walker Cadd has been identified as the suspect. He was transported to a medical facility and was listed in stable condition.

No one else was wounded in the occurrence.

The officer who shot the suspect has been placed on leave which is standard procedure.

An investigation is continuing.
