A 19-year-old drowned in Lake Lewisville on Wednesday. Crews were finally able to recover his body after 14 hours of searching that took two days.

On Wednesday afternoon, the man, who hasn’t been publicly identified, had been at the beach section of Copperas Branch Park with relatives and friends. He had then swum out to the buoy line.

At some point, he turned to go back, began to experience problems, went under, and he never came back up.

Reports indicate that the man wasn’t wearing a life jacket.

At the beginning of this week, two other people died in Lake Lewisville, as well. On Monday, a 19-year-old drowned, close to Lake Park in Lewisville. On Tuesday, a 40-year-old man drowned after going swimming with friends off a pontoon boat. The boat had been in the center of the lake.

There are several parks and marinas on Lake Lewisville and other lakes in the area that are equipped with loaner life jacket stations for safety purposes.

On the hand, Copperas Branch Park isn’t equipped with those type of stations.
