22-year-old Yohanes Kidane, a Netflix engineer, went missing in mid-August. He had just been hired as a software engineer at the company and moved to the Bay area after graduating from Cornell University.
Now, the San Francisco coroner’s office has said that Kidane’s body was found in the San Francisco Bay.
Police in San Jose reported that Kidane had last been seen entering an Uber. His backpack, cell phone, and wallet had been discovered close to the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center in San Francisco.
Authorities note that Kidane’s body was located by a passing boat in the waters northeast of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The coroner later named the person as Kidane and added that his death was a suicide.
