Young Child’s Scalp Ripped Off In Brutal Dog Attack, Mother And Boyfriend Taken Into Custody

A young girl is recovering after a vicious dog attack in February that left her with severe wounds.

On February 20, Liliana Stratman, 4, was attacked by a dog as she was visiting her mother.

“Her cheekbone was broken. She has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body,” the girl’s great aunt stated. She also said that her great-niece had been diagnosed with spinal bifida and that she had expected the girl to have several surgeries.

Documents show that the girl’s mother, 24-year-old Danielle Stratman, is said to have hid from police at her boyfriend’s residence to change out of her bloody attire which police say she placed under a bed. Liliana was quickly taken to a medical facility for her wounds.

When police got to the location, they couldn’t locate the Cane Corso-mastiff that belonged to Stratman’s boyfriend, Greg Priester. Eventually, they were able to find the dog at Priester’s residence. The dog was later voluntarily given to the Nebraska Humane Society where it was euthanized and tested for rabies. No diseases were discovered.

Stratman and Priester were later arrested and charged with obstruction. Stratman also faces charges of violating a no contact order after being apprehended on charges of child abuse and domestic assault in early February. Priester was later charged with harboring a dangerous dog and having a pet damage property.

Liliana has now been placed in the custody of her father.
