17 Year Old Fatally Shot At QuikTrip In Arlington; Suspect In Custody

A man is in custody after he fatally shot a 17 year old at an Arlington gas station.

On July 16, authorities responded to a shooting call at a QuikTrip located on the 4900 block of Little Road. Upon arrival they spotted a 17 year old male unresponsive with gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

While investigating the scene and speaking with witnesses they learned that 18 year old Taymour Makarem was responsible for the fatal shooting.

Apparently Makarem and the victim knew each other and had previous altercations. The two saw each other at the gas station and got into a verbal altercation in which Makarem pulled out a gun firing multiple rounds into the victims vehicle.

Three other individuals were inside tbt victims vehicle at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

Makarem fled the scene before officers could arrive but was later picked up by police near the intersection of Treepoint Drive and Paces Trail.

He was booked into Arlington City jail and charged with murder.
