17 Year Old Pepper Sprayed By Police After Multiple Fights At Desoto High School

Desoto police were called out to Desoto high school regarding a group of teens fighting.

When police arrived to the school they observed multiple fights going on.

The School Resource Officer and other Desoto police officers broke the fights up and detained multiple students. Several juvenile students were released to their parents.

One 17 year old student was pepper sprayed by police for allegedly interfering with police operations.

He was treated at the scene and transported to Desoto Regional Jail where he was charged with interfering with public duties.

Officers remained on the scene until school was out to ensure the safety of students and staff.
