An investigation is underway after Desoto PD responded to a shooting at an apartment complex and seized drugs and guns.
On June 2 officers responded to a shooting call at Thorn Manor apartments on the 300 block of W. Wintergreen Rd.
Upon arrival they found a 26 year old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Authorities later obtained a search warrant for the wounded man’s apartment and recovered 2 pounds of marijuana and an Ar-15 rifle.
Although no charges have been filed yet. Officers are interviewing witnesses and the victim.
This investigation is ongoing.
