23-Year-Old Dies After Crashing Plane He Stole From Flight School In Addison

After stealing a plane from an Addison flight school and crashing it, a 23-year-old has died.

The Texas Department of Public Safety stated that an initial investigation revealed that a Cessna 172 was stolen from ATP Flight School in Addison on Wednesday evening.

The plane went down in an open area, close to Telephone, Texas, not far from the Red River.

Logan Timothy James, of Stokesdale, NC, has been named as the pilot. He was declared deceased at the location. Documents show that he had been residing in Allen.

It was also shown that James had gotten his private pilot license in December.

Federal investigators are now reviewing the matter to determine the intent of the theft and whether the plane was crashed intentionally or accidentally.

James had been the only person onboard.

An investigation is continuing.

  1. He committed Suicide! Just google his name and there ia a link to a recording with the airport tower and himself saying he was going to kill him self and he left a suicide note.
