In a recovery operation called “Operation Boo Dat 2021,” five missing/endangered teenagers were found. Also, 30 sex offender arrests were made in New Orleans, Louisiana.

U.S. Marshals have said that the operation took place from the middle of October until December 24. Seventeen of those arrested were suspected of felony sex offender registration violations.

Authorities say that one man that was taken into custody had been wanted for raping a 12-year-old girl in an unoccupied residence. Another suspect was arrested for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Texas.

One teenage girl that was found was a 16-year-old who had fled her home and had stolen a family member’s car and a gun. She was found in a home with several adults, one of whom was a “strip club dancer.”

Additionally, two sisters that were located, aged 15 and 16, were in an apartment in Baton Rouge. They may have been victims of “adult felony criminal sexual activities.”

Throughout the operation, more than one-hundred sex offender compliance checks took place. This required law enforcement agencies to visit the homes of sex offenders to ensure that they reside at the same address that was given.
