Amazon Being Sued For $350 Million After Two Drivers Are Shot By Customer Who Mistook Them For Burglars

3.7kviews

A driver for Amazon has said that he was shot in the spine by someone, and the bullet is still there.

A police warrant noted that a homeowner, in Georgia, stated that he thought Lawyer Denson was a burglar.

“Life is definitely different. It’s been tough, but I just got to keep working forward, keep moving forward,” Denson said.

In addition to him, Eduardo Gutierrez, another delivery driver, was also thought to be a burglar. He was shot five times by the same homeowner that evening prior to the incident with Denson.

Authorities say that Keontae Guthridge believed that the two delivery drivers were at his residence to rob him. Guthridge disclosed that he had been robbed two weeks prior to these occurrences. He also said that he had already had packages delivered to his home earlier that day.

Amazon is now being sued for $350 million. The victims’ attorneys say that the drivers weren’t provided with an effective visibility vest which could have made a difference.

“Amazon has known for a while that they need to just protect their drivers. They have not done so,” stated one lawyer.

Amazon has said that they are knowledgeable of the incidents and have sent their sympathies. They have vowed to support the drivers and police as the investigation continues.

  1. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of
exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it
appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any
ways to help prevent content from being ripped off?
    I’d truly appreciate it.
