Around 8:16 p.m., on April 13, 2022, a 53- year-old woman was driving a 2003 Chevy Tahoe in an apartment complex. This was in the 4100 block of Delafield Lane.
As the driver of the Tahoe was trying to pass an ice cream truck that was parked, she hit a 2-year-old child who was running to get ice cream. The driver of the Tahoe stopped when she saw what had happened.
The child was transported to Children’s Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The matter is being investigated even though no charges are pending at this time. The occurrence is documented as case numbers 64902-2022 and 64945-2022.
