Drunk Driver Arrested After Biting Police Dog Multiple Times While Trying To Evade Arrest

A drunken Delaware man is in custody after he allegedly bit a police dog multiple times while resisting arrest.

47 year old Jamal Wing was pulled over around 1:40 am by authorities for speeding. Once he pulled over to a parking lot he exited his vehicle and began to approach police.

The officer and a police K-9 attempted to detain Wing who then viciously bit the dog multiple times.

More officers arrived to the scene to help arrest Wing. Once in custody he sustained multiple injuries and had to be taken to an area hospital.

While in the hospital Wing assaulted a Trooper and damaged police property while still trying to escape.

Wing was released from the hospital and taken into custody where he was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of assaulting a law enforcement animal, driving under the influence, two counts of resisting with force or violence, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, failure to have required insurance, speeding in excess of posted limits and duty to sign and carry license.

The officer and his K-9 also sustained minor injuries.
