44-year-old Carlos Alberto Guzman was an ex-Arlington youth football coach. Now, he has received 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 14.
Last month, Guzman was charged with indecency/fondling in a criminal court in Fort Worth.
In April 2017, authorities were notified of Guzman’s interactions with a 12-year-old boy.
After an investigation, Guzman was apprehended in a traffic stop in 2018.
Optimist Club of Arlington, where Guzman was a former project committee chairman, has stated that the man was no longer with the club after the 2016 football season.
They added that there were no accusations of inappropriate behavior while Guzman was apart of the organization.
Court documents reveal that Guzman committed the crime on April 11, 2017.
