In a TikTok that went viral, a 54-year-old man enthusiastically showcased the “thank you gift” he received from his employer for being a long-term employee.

Kevin Ford was excited to be celebrating 27 hard-working years he dedicated to the Burger King inside Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. To show gratitude for his loyalty, the company sent him a good bag filled with candy, a Starbucks cup, and one movie ticket.

Ford’s TikTok video quickly spread, with viewers criticizing the company for the pitiful gift and commenters also noting how positive and grateful he was.

In response to the popularity of the video and attention he received, Ford’s daughter created a GoFundMe to help celebrate his milestone.

Donations came pouring in as everyone wanted to help make up for the lack of appreciation Burger King showed him.

Ford even caught the attention of comedian and actor David Spade, who donated $5,000 to his GoFundMe. In addition to becoming the “top supporter,” David Spade also took to Instagram and messaged Ford, personally congratulating him.

All-in-all Ford’s GoFundMe has reached nearly $75,000 and is still quickly climbing.
