On Wednesday, four people were found deceased inside of a residence in Lithopolis, Ohio. Two young boys were among those who died.
Fairfield County Sheriff Alex Lape stated that the case is being looked into as a murder-suicide.
Just before 10 a.m., officials arrived to the scene of an incident involving a shooting.
When emergency crews went inside the residence, parents Kiara Anderson, 29 and Joseph Anderson, 30 were found dead. Their two children Joseph Anderson Jr., 5 and Jeffery Anderson, 2, had also died.
Authorities say that it seems that the father fatally shot his wife and children. He then shot himself.
Police were notified about the occurrence when the father had communicated with someone about what he had done through a text message. That person called authorities.
Officials have said that they had no prior calls to the home.
