After not leaving out as he was demanded and attacking a Hettinger County sheriff’s deputy, a man died inside of a North Dakota school.

Investigators say that the incident happened on April 21, close to 3 p.m.

When reports indicated that a disturbance was occurring inside of the school, authorities went to the scene. They then found 34-year-old, Jeffrie Glover Jr., refusing to exit the premises, police say.

People that know Glover say that he had gotten into an altercation with his ex-wife’s new boyfriend inside of the school. This came after Glover found out that the new boyfriend had been placed on his child’s contact sheet.

Glover didn’t listen to the deputy’s command to leave out of the school. He then assaulted the deputy as the situation worsened.

Glover was killed during the “lethal force scenario” that transpired, authorities stated.

Although the sheriff’s office didn’t disclose how Glover died, his friends reported that he was shot. It was also noted that his young son had observed the fatal shooting.

Authorities say that no one else was injured in the incident.

The deputy that was involved has been put on administrative leave as an investigation continues.
