An Oklahoma gas station clerk is facing charges of embezzlement after allegedly asking a friend to find someone to rob the store where he worked so he could go home early.

Isaias Jones told police that a man walked into the store on June 5th and gave him a note that read, “Give me all your money or I will shoot you”, according to Tulsa PD.

Authorities arrested Steven Jones (not related) for the robbery, a few days later. Reportedly, Steven Jones confessed and said his friend, Alyia Locke, set up the fake robbery at Isaias Jone’s request, “so he could go home early from his shift.”

Locke confessed to her role in the robbery and was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Locke could also be facing embezzlement charges. She told investigators that Isaias Jones paid her after the fake robbery.

Isaias Jones also confessed to arranging the robbery and was arrested on charges of embezzlement and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Steven Jones has been charged with conspiracy to commit embezzlement as well as possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony.

“Our Human Resources department, and likely every H.R. department in the world would like to advise people that this is not the recommended way to leave work early,” said police jokingly on a social media post.
