On March 2, close to 4 p.m., Aaron Brown was traveling north on FM741 in Forney, close to the Mormon church. His vehicle was then T-boned by a car traveling south. There is construction in that vicinity, and the southbound car went off the road and overcorrected, hitting Mr. Brown’s vehicle. Mr. Brown and his 13-year-old son died as a result of the wreck.

Mario Sanchez Cervantes has been named as the driver of the other car, according to a post on Kaufman County’s Facebook account. He was seemingly under the influence when the wreck occurred.

Cervantes has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, possession of narcotics, and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

In addition to that, he is in the Kaufman County jail on an immigration hold.
