An investigation is underway after two armed men robbed a Walgreens Pharmacy on Sunday morning.
The two suspects, one armed with a rod-style taser and the other with a handgun, entered the Walgreens on 6244 Lake Worth Boulevard at 3:37 a.m. on October 15.
The suspect armed with the handgun went straight to the pharmacy and forced the pharmacist at gunpoint to retrieve controlled substances that were locked inside. He then grabbed her by her and forced her into the back office.
The second suspect, armed with the taser, located the front cashier and tased her to the ground while dragging her to the back office. She was then held to the ground with a gun placed against the back of her head.
The pharmacist was forced to open the safe where $5,000 was taken out and placed in a trash can by suspects. Both suspects then fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Impala.
Lake Worth Police officers received reports at 3:49 a.m. and immediately responded to the scene where they found the cashier seriously injured. She was transported to the hospital where she underwent surgery and is currently recovering.
LWPD is searching for any leads that lead to the suspects.
