Authorities in Greenville, South Carolina, have apprehended 29-year-old Kayshaun Williams, in relation to the killing of a woman and her unborn child.
On Saturday, close to 11 a.m., Williams was taken into custody at his residence after a short standoff with police.
He is now being charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Jasmine Cooper, 27, and her unborn child.
Authorities say that the unborn child is presumed to be Williams’s.
On July 9, just prior to 10 a.m., authorities had gone to an apartment in connection to an unconscious woman. Cooper was 38-weeks pregnant and was transported to a medical facility where she and her unborn baby passed away.
After an autopsy was conducted, it was found that Cooper died from blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation.
Williams is now being held in custody without bond.
