Chicago police are investigating after a man was killed and a woman shot early Sunday morning.
Officers say they were called to a business, shortly after midnight, on the 4600 block of South King Drive.
Upon arrival they found a 25 year old male deceased from multiple gunshot wounds and a woman suffering from a gunshot wound in the chin.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive.
According to officers the incident happened when the 25 year old male stepped on the 27 year old woman’s shoe inside the business. An argument erupted between the man and a group of other men.
At some point, someone pulled out a gun shooting the 25 year old in the torso, neck and arm.
The suspect(s) fled before officers could arrive.
The shooting investigation remains ongoing.
