Man Fatally Shot Christmas Morning In Garland

Following a shooting on Christmas morning, in Garland, one person has died.

Just prior to 8 a.m., authorities were called to Chandelier Cafe and Lounge on West Walnut St.

They then discovered 34-year-old Fuad Baranja in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot injury. Baranja was transported to a medical facility where he succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday.

Bystanders had disclosed to police that a dispute had occurred and resulted in the shooting.

Johnny Lewis III, 24, was apprehended and charged with murder. He was placed in the Garland Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

An investigation is on-going.
