Man Keeps Roommate’s Dead Body in Closet for 2 Months Fearing She’d Come Back and Haunt Him
A Las Vegas man kept his roommate’s decomposing body in the closet of their home because he feared she would rise from the dead and haunt him.
31-year-old George Anthony Bone was arrested and charged with the murder of Beverly Ma on Wednesday.
According to police, Bone was living his normal life while Ma’s dead body was in a closet of their home for 2 months. The door to the closet was barricaded with a freezer and there was a towel under the gap of the door.
Ma’s family made a surprise visit to the home and were greeted by Bone. When asked about their loved one, Bone told them she was “dead and gone” and offered to show them where she was.
After the police were contacted, Bone eventually spoke with detectives and admitted to knowingly living in the house with her decomposing body. He told authorities that he didn’t want to go back to jail for being caught with a dead body, but that he kept the A/C set to 60 degrees to limit the flies.
Bone, a registered sex offender, said he was scared of her rising from the dead and haunting him like in the movie The Grudge. During the 2 months, he used her Amazon account to order goods and even contacted people from her phone pretending to be her.
Despite his allegations that Ma had committed suicide, her death was ruled a homicide, and detectives believe she died from strangulation.
The day before Bone claims he found his roommate dead, a 911 call was made from Ma’s phone where a male and female were heard arguing.
Well, that was STUPID to keep something or someone you’re afraid of in your closet. Too bad she wasn’t able to rise from the dead and poke his eyes out. May he see her corpse that he kept in that closet for 2 months EVERŸtime he closes his eyes.😳😒🤞🏽
