Cortez Nute is the man that has been apprehended for a fatal shooting close to Love Field in Dallas this past weekend.
On Sunday, authorities were called to a wreck on Inwood Road where they discovered that a driver had died. However, they then learned that Chapeera Lee didn’t pass away from the wreck, but she had been shot.
Nute, who was on scene, was believed to be a passenger in the car, at first. But now, Dallas police have stated that he was driving another vehicle, and they say that he shot Lee.
Authorities don’t believe that the incident was a result of road rage because the two had known each other.
On Monday, Nute was taken into custody on various charges.
