A mother is being charged for the death of her baby after autopsy results show the baby died of hypothermia in February.
A six month old baby was found dead in a cemetery, an autopsy was immediately performed on the child and it was found that the child had died due to hypothermia after being abandoned in a cemetery
Amber alerts were notified by the police after the arrest of the mother, Tamara Jernel Brown in February for a different crime. The mother, Tamara Jernel Brown, was charged with the murder of six month old Chi-Liam Cody Brown- Erickson.
Tamara was seen near Galleria Boulevard late Friday afternoon where she was arrested with the charge of robbery and assaulting an officer.
Police statements indicate that the mother and child had last been seen together after they had left Matthews home in uptown Charlotte. Once the officers who had arrested Tamara Brown noticed that the child was not with her they called in the amber alert.
The child, Chi-Liam Brown-Erickson was found Saturday morning dead at Sharon Memorial Park in Southeast Charlotte.
