A woman was found dead in a bedroom after a mother went into her son’s room and discovered the body wrapped in plastic.
The deceased woman has been identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as 30-year-old Hannah Rachel Collins. Now authorities are searching for a 26-year-old Hispanic male who they believe is the suspect.
At around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, the suspect’s mother went into his room to investigate a strong gas-like odor. To her disbelief, she found a dead woman wrapped in plastic inside.
The mother contacted police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the home where Collins was officially pronounced deceased.
The son has not been located yet. Collins, who is described as a white female, just had a birthday 2 weeks ago. It’s unclear how long she had been in the room, or the circumstances surrounding her death.
