Police Rescue 13-Year-Old Human Trafficking Victim Who Was Kidnapped

A 13-year-old girl was reunited with her family after she was allegedly kidnapped for human-trafficking.

Officers in Canton, Georgia conducted a traffic stop on a stolen 2014 Dodge Caravan on Wednesday morning. A 16-year-old girl behind the wheel could not provide officers with a driver’s license or any type of ID. The passenger next to her was only 13-years-old.

After searching the vehicle, officers noticed an immense amount of lingerie as well as THC cartridges and products.

Through the course of an investigation, authorities learned that the 16-year-old was transporting the 13-year-old girl to a different state. The young girl had become a victim of human trafficking after she was kidnapped.

The driver was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, giving a false name, theft by receiving stolen property, unlawful use of a wireless device, and drug possession. She was booked into the Regional Youth Detention Center.

The victim was rescued by officers and reunited with her family.
