Rapper Key Vhani Released From Jail On Bond After Fatally Shooting Her Manager

On October 9, “Pretty Gangster” Kevhani Hicks, a 27-year-old up and coming rapper whose goes by the name Key Vhani, fatally shot her manager in Florida, at point-blank range in front of Wynwood Walls.

Now, Hicks has been released from jail on bond.

A recording depicts Kevhani and an unnamed man having a disagreement, close to a white vehicle prior to things escalating. Another man then got involved when the fight went out into the streets, and one of the men viciously tackled Hicks. Eventually, she got up from the ground and walked away.

As Hicks acted as if she was going in another direction, she is then seen going through her purse. She retrieved a gun, turned around and fired it several times, striking a man, her manager, who was still on the sidewalk. When he fell to the ground, the rapper walked over to him and shot him again.

A little while after that, Khey Vani was struck by the white vehicle which then attended to run her over before driving off. She was then hospitalized.

When questioned by authorities, the rapper stated she feared for her life after having a physical altercation with her manager. She was arrested but insisted that the killing was in self-defense.

Hicks was released on a $50,000 bond and was placed on house arrest until her trial.
