School Counselor Files Lawsuit For Being Forced To Resign After Teacher Called Student ‘Dumb’ N-Word And Stepped On Him

A counselor in Grand Prairie ISD in Grand Prairie, Texas, has said that she was forced to quit her job. This comes after she reported an occurrence in which a teacher supposedly called a special needs student a “dumb N-word.” She also pulled a chair from beneath the student and stepped on him,” a lawsuit notes.

The suit was filed last week. The incident occurred on May 18, 2022.

When questioned about the lawsuit, the school district stated that they didn’t know about it. They added that the counselor who reported the incident, Gabriana Clay-White, resigned from her position on June 3, 2022.

The lawsuit states that Clay-White questioned the student about what happened. The student said that the teacher “took my chips and she’s dumb.” The teacher is then said to have responded to the student by asking, “Oh I’m dumb?” She then pulled the chair from under the student, making him fall.

“The only dumb [n-word] in this room is the one with the blue shirt who can’t read,” the lawsuit claims was said by the teacher. The student involved had been wearing a blue shirt on the day of the occurrence. He also has a reading-related learning disability.

The teacher pulled the chair from under the student a second time. That’s when Clay-White took the student out of the classroom. The lawsuit says that then the student swung at the teacher.

When the student was unsuccessful at hitting the teacher and fell to the ground, the teacher stepped on his chest with her boot, the lawsuit claims. The teacher is then accused of following the student saying, “The only b– is your mom,” as the counselor led the student down a hallway.

The following day, Clay-White told school officials what happened and then reported it to Child Protective Services.

On May 20, 2022, Clay-White was summoned to a meeting with human resources. She was then requested to write a third statement about what occured.

The lawsuit stated that on June 2, 2022, human resources informed the counselor that she had violated the ethics code and had a choice of resigning or being terminated.

Clay-White said that she decided to “resign under duress” and is seeking damages with back pay.

  1. What’s the point of saying something if you see something? For this to happen? This teacher needs to be in prison for this nonsense

  2. I Pray the counselor gets every penny she’s requesting and the Teacher HR and everyone involved are terminated immediately.
