On the first day of Black History Month, several Historically Black Colleges and Universities have gone on lockdown. Some have even delayed classes to another day. This is because of bomb threats that were received.
On Monday, Howard University was the recipient of a threat. By Tuesday, 12 other institutions got bomb threats, too.
These schools include Coppin State University, Jackson State University, Mississippi Valley State University, Morgan State University, Alcorn State University, and Tougaloo College. Kentucky State University, Fort Valley State University, Xavier University, University of the District of Columbia, Spelman College, and Edwards Waters University were also threatened with bombs.
As of now, it is unclear who has made the threats or why they are occurring.
